Infant Self Rescue Swim Lessons

About

Lessons are five days a week, Monday- Friday for 10 minutes. This consistency helps build the students muscle memory for floating and swimming skills. Our mission is "Not one more child drowns." This is the influence and reason behind all that we do in ISR. Lessons are one on one with the instructor which ensures that each lesson is individualized for each student.

Students are divided into two skill types based on age and their ability to walk. Children who are at least 6 months and can sit independently will learn to float. Students over a year old who can walk independently will learn to swim-float-swim. Both of these groups are learning appropriate self life saving skills.

While our first priority is getting children safe in and around the water. Students learn to respect and enjoy swimming in the water.

The water safety skills children learn are skills they use year round. Yes, enjoying swimming during the summer months is one of the highlights but, children are still around the water during cool months. The skills they learn with ISR teach them to save themselves if they were to accidentally fall in the water. During the last week of lessons, students will practice their skills in summer and winter clothes so they can feel the weight difference and make adjustments if they ever need to use their skills with clothes.
